Victoria (Warwick)

When I started my driving lessons I was very apprehensive but Kelly made me feel a little more relaxed. I found my Ignition instructor Kelly very helpful, friendly and pleasant, and she was also flexible regarding lesson times and where she picked me up. There was not anything I think that my instructor could have done differently, I think they are an excellent driving school and the tuition was brilliant. I would definitely recommend Ignition Driving School to anyone learning to drive.

Driving Lessons

Ignition Driving School provides good quality, great value driving lessons, that won´t stretch your budget. Unlike some driving schools we won’t entice you with gimmicks and heavy discounts only to increase the price of your driving lessons further down the line. Instead, we believe in a fair pricing system throughout the course of your driving lessons for both you and your driving instructor, meaning you won´t be learning to drive for longer than necessary. Our introductory offers are a great way to, not only meet your driving instructor, but also familiarise yourself with the controls of the car and to get started, and our block booking discounts will ensure you get good value driving tuition throughout your course of driving lessons.

Aside from standard hourly driving lessons, Ignition Driving School also provides Pass Plus courses, motorway driving lessons and refresher driving courses. If you are pushed for time then an intensive driving course could be the right course for you. All driving schools can offer intensive driving lessons but we actually organise, book and manage your intensive driving course for you so all you have to do is turn up for your driving lessons! With over 250 intensive driving courses undertaken with Ignition Driving School, rest assured you´re in good hands. If you have already passed your theory test then we can offer intensive driving courses including a practical test and 10 hours worth of driving lessons starting from £260. If you´re looking for an all-inclusive intensive driving course however, we can offer 10 hours worth of driving lessons from £290, which includes all theory materials, a theory test and a practical driving test. For more information on these courses please see our intensive driving courses website.

Learning to drive doesn´t end as soon as your driving lesson ends though. As an Ignition Driving School pupil you will also receive online support for FREE! So you can continue to learn whilst at home. Our online pupil centre called, The Hub, allows you to read up about driving lesson topics and helps you to recap the information you have already been given on your driving lessons. You can also do exercises and practice an almost infinite number of theory papers and hazard perception clips for FREE! All pupils receive an informative welcome pack at the start too, so no matter what level you are at, your Ignition Driving Schools instructor is with you every step of the way.

Not many driving schools reward you for your loyalty but now with our cool loyalty card scheme you can receive high street vouchers up to the value of £105 for recommending friends and family to the school. So now you can learn to drive in style!

Some driving schools simply teach you the skills needed to get through a driving test, but learning to drive is much more than that. The skills you will learn on one of our intensive driving courses or one of our hourly driving lesson courses will be with you for the rest of your life and with so many driving schools to choose from it is difficult to know which driving school to pick. As you would expect from professional driving schools in your area we work very closely with the DSA to ensure that your driving lessons are conducted to the highest level. Over 95% of our driving instructors are fully qualified driving instructors and are local to your residential area. We provide driving lessons at flexible times in the week to fit around your other commitments and rest assured, all our driving lessons do last a FULL hour. Moreover, to ensure that you gain maximum benefit from your driving tuition, it is our policy not to "piggy-back" driving lessons. Piggy-backing is a system used by some driving schools where the next pupil is picked up on YOUR driving lesson time.

On this website you can find out information about all the different driving courses we offer and using our driving instructor finder, you can easily find out whether we have a driving instructor local to you and our driving lesson prices. From here you can go on to book a driving lesson and you can even pay securely online for your driving lessons too. With so many ways to contact us it has never been easier to put your enquiry to us and our FREE learning to drive guide at the top right of this website can give you more information about learning to drive in general.

If you pass your driving test at the age of 17 your driver’s licence will be valid until you are 70 years old. Here’s the Ignition Driving School’s guide to keeping safe on Britain’s roads this winter:

Getting a grip on tyres

In 2012, across the whole of Europe, compulsory tyre labelling will be enforced, to show customers the noise, fuel economy and wet grip efficiency of the tyres they are about to buy. This label on the tyres will be displayed as a rating similar to the current energy rating on white goods such as fridges, and is hoped to help people become more informed and responsible about the tyres they are purchasing.
