Practical driving test

Once you have passed your theory and hazard perception test, you´re on the right road to taking the practical test. The test will last approximately 40 minutes and is designed to cover all areas of your driving, including a reversing manoeuvre and possibly an emergency stop. In October 2010, a new element of the driving test was introduced, to test your ability to drive independently following road signs or directions for a period of 10 minutes. As part of the practical driving test you will also be asked 2 questions relating to the maintenance of the car.

 

At Ignition Driving School we are committed to helping you become a safe, confident driver and we will give you all the help you need, in order to give you the best chance possible of passing your practical driving test. Our mock driving tests, in particular, give a real insight as to how you would perform under real driving test conditions. Mock driving tests can give valuable feedback as to areas of improvement and allow your driving instructor to draw up a plan of what to work on in future driving lessons.
